“I support Charlie Crist because there if there is anything that the 2008 presidential election taught me, it’s that Americans should not vote for a candidate based only on rhetoric. There needs to be substance and experience to support it, and that’s what Charlie Crist provides for Floridians.”

Charlie Crist on Jobs
The most important issue facing our state and nation is jobs. Job creation is critical to our state and nation as we climb out of the current economic recession. Government cannot cure the current economic challenges. The entrepreneurial spirit of American business owners will provide the hope for our economic future.
As Florida’s next U.S. Senator, Charlie Crist will fight for ways to incentivize businesses through tax cuts, increased access to capital and free market approaches to concerns like health care. Economic incentives that liberate American business from government regulation will enable companies and small businesses to grow. Charlie Crist believes in the entrepreneurial spirit of America. Charlie Crist will fight to expand opportunities for existing businesses and new business opportunities.
As Governor, Charlie Crist supported the expansion and growth of Florida’s nearly 1.9 small businesses. In 2009, the Tax Foundation ranked Florida as having the nation’s 5th most “business friendly” tax system. This ranking demonstrates the commitment to pursuing business friendly policies and decisions that remove barriers. A business tax system that is “friendly” will only enable the prospects for job creation.
Under Governor Crist’s leadership, Florida has taken bold steps in providing incentives to create jobs. The New Markets Development Program, signed by Governor Crist, provides tax incentives for businesses investing in low-income rural and urban locations. Nearly $100 million in tax credits will lead to $364 million in community investments, creating thousands of jobs over time.
Floridians who can work, should work. Governor Crist supports public-private partnerships to encourage Floridians in their job search. A critical tool in assisting Floridians is www.employflorida.com.
