St. Pete is not just a destination, it’s home. It’s where I learned the value of hard work from my father and to value community from my mother; where I proudly took the field as a Green Devil at St. Pete High and where I first dipped my toe in the pool that is civic duty.

I’ve fought for the City of St. Petersburg in the Legislature, as Education Commissioner, Attorney General, and Governor, and as a United States Representative. Now I’m taking that fight back home, to City Hall, where the city government is failing to address issues that matter most to YOU, my neighbors. Current leadership is missing in action. And in the meantime, housing prices continue to soar, flooding continues to threaten, businesses struggle under the crushing weight of a challenging economy, and the Rays' future remains uncertain.

Together, we can do better. Under my leadership, we’ll put people first; we’ll listen. And rest assured, help is on the way. The time is now to push prices down so we can lift people up. It won’t be easy, but I’ve done the hard work before and I’m prepared to do it again.
